About Diana Homer
With over 40 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), I am thrilled to offer mentorship and coaching to early childhood educators, empowering them to enhance their programs, practices, and overall wellbeing.
At iconnect U C me?, my consultancy supports educators working with children under 6 years of age, providing onsite and online training designed to reignite their passion for teaching.
I advocate for families, as their child’s first teachers, helping them understand the importance of early childhood education, play based inclusion and, pedagogy and the vital role in fostering a child’s social, emotional confidence, wellbeing, and resilience—critical factors in shaping their potential later in life.
I have extensive experience in inclusivity, cultural linguistic support and advocating for our First Nations peoples, across early childhood, primary education and vocational training. My career spans across varies roles such as a Trainer and Assessor with the National Quality Standards Authority, a rural and remote teacher and trainer in First Nations communities, a project officer for QCOSS for the Early Childhood Program and Practice and a statewide Principal Advisor for Wellbeing and Inclusion for early childhood centers across Queensland..
I am a mother of two daughters who loves the outdoors and animals. I am deeply passionate about nurturing the hearts and minds of children in our care, walking alongside their families to ensure they feel seen, heard, supported, and confident.
I acknowledge the need for every child to experience love and kindness, positive support strategies, rich play-based curriculum and well grounded authentic connections with their educators and those who support their development and care.
